It’s been nearly two weeks since Fringe ended and I can still feel the love and excitement in my veins. Who would have thought that tickets were harder to get than diesel?

Leave the phone at home and hear what you really think
I realised I didn’t have my phone for a whole day. At the start I was looking forward to it. What a chance for mindfulness and to be aware of my surroundings. It was great. Then I had a coffee and the natural follow-on left me no choice but to head to the toilet. And without a phone, a public toilet is the worst place to be aware of your surroundings.
Solo – Look! No Han[s]
Solo parenting, unlike the solo drink, leaves your kids high on fizz and only you going down fast. And then a soft awake it ain't. My wife went on a work trip for a week recently and I greedily took the opportunity for content, and to show my wares as a modern, supportive partner, and to fill in her role as head of the household. At least until my mum arrived.
